Bonjour beloved guests,

By now, spring has well and truly sprung in Amsterdam. Thousands of blooming tulips can be admired throughout the city and the famous Keukenhof in Lisse is in full bloom. If there is one season of the year that really brings out the best of Amsterdam and its surrounding countryside, it must be spring. As The Grand awakens from its wintry spell, trees in our garden burst with greenery, tulips have filled the courtyard and guests are seeking for the first rays of sunshine.

To warmly welcome the new season we have launched The Grand Spring Afternoon Tea. In addition, you can read about the Easter celebrations at The Grand and we would like to introduce you to our new pop-up bar, The Flying Deer.

Easter at The Grand

Easter is just around the corner! At The Grand, Easter will be all about family celebrations and extensive dining. On the 17th and 18th of April, you can celebrate Easter with us at restaurant Bridges or Oriole Garden Bistro or you can indulge with The Grand Spring Afternoon Tea.

And what is Easter without an Easter Egg Hunt? The Grand Easter Bunny will hide the most colourful eggs throughout the inner garden of the hotel and all kids staying with us during Easter are invited to join The Grand Easter Egg Hunt!

Easter celebrations at Bridges and Oriole

Discover the happy Easter flavours of restaurant Bridges with a five-, six- or seven course dinner Menu du Chef or create your own menu with our à la carte options. Especially for spring and to celebrate the asparagus season, our Chefs created a magnifique four course lunch Menu du Chef.

This special asparagus Menu du Chef is served from the 14th until the 18th of April during lunch. During dinner, the dishes can be ordered individually.

The Grand Spring Afternoon Tea

During The Grand Spring Afternoon tea, we introduce you to a wide variety of homemade sweet and savoury delicacies, created by the talented pastry team. In the meantime, you can enjoy a range of delicious teas of Newby Teas, which have been carefully selected by our own tea sommelier, Cecilia Tjing.

An étagère full of unique, creative and surprising delicacies, such as a Parmesan cheese lollipop, Macaron with mandarin and a speculaas truffle. During the 17th and 18th of April, the afternoon tea will be served in a special Easter theme.

The Flying Deer pop-up bar

We would like to introduce you to our brand new pop-up bar, The Flying Deer! Inspired by the world’s most awarded Glenfiddich single malt Scotch whisky, artist Tadej Oblak has used the bar of The Grand as a blank canvas.

The Flying Deer is a neo-pop art interpretation based on the characteristic foundations of both Glenfiddich and The Grand. Take a seat at the bar, be amazed by the inspiring art and try special whiskies combined with bites. Especially for the opening of The Flying Deer, Executive Chef Raoul Meuwese has paired each Glenfiddich whisky with one of his signature dishes. A hidden-gem in Amsterdam where art meets whisky…
